Fort Saskatchewan, is a traditional gathering place and travel route of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Metis, Dene, Nêhiyawak, Nahkawininiwak, and Nakota Sioux. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge that Elk Island Public Schools is located on Treaty 6 territory and Métis Region 4. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
